Most people don’t realize just how easy it is to make rice pilaf from scratch. It’s a cinch, and it tastes a billion times better than the packaged stuff! (Hyperbole much?) This asparagus-almond rice pilaf is a class act. It’s as good as any side dish you can get in a restaurant, and it’s incredibly easy.
There are different pilaf recipes from around the world, but this particular dish has Armenian roots. In fact, I remember having something very similar to this for the first time as a teenager when I visited my Armenian friend’s house and stayed for dinner. Scrumptious! When I owned a catering company, I came across a recipe that resembled that dish, and decided to make it at a dinner party. The guests went nuts!
Make this soon as a side dish for dinner soon and I promise your family will love it!
