I’m a knitter. I love knitting. I also LOVE blue-green colorways, as can be evidenced by not only the boot cuffs I just finished, but also the Hitchhiker shawl (also in a blue-green colorway – pics coming shortly) that I’m working up as we speak. Oh yes, I intend to wear them together. The problem is I live in sunny Southern California. I’m hoping and praying for El Niño to finally hit us in April, 1. Because we desperately need the rain, and 2. So I can be all fashionable in my matching knitted items.
I’m going to make the final push to finish the shawl in the next week or so. It can be a bit tedious, what with the same pattern being worked a hundred-billion times. I can hear a voice whispering through the trees: “Patience, young lass. Patience.” Elizabeth Zimmermann, is that you??
With any luck, I’ll be wearing the ensemble soon, and I’ll post pictures of the Hitchhiker, too (Yes, that hitchhiker. You get the reference, don’t you? You’re cool, just like me. Good to know.). In the meantime, take a gander at my cuffs, and have a look at my Ravelry page as well. You’ll find a link to the pattern there. I cannot post the actual pattern, since it’s a paid pattern and there’s a whole copyright thing. If you knit, you’ll have a ton of fun working these up…or my name ain’t Ford Prefect. And it isn’t.
